Edmonton Oilers’ Biggest Game in Decades!
I’ve been living in Canada since 2013, and to this day, I still don’t understand hockey. I’ve never watched a full game on TV or in person. Football (soccer for my North American friends) has always been my sport of choice.
But when Game 7 of the Florida Panthers vs. Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup Final rolled around, I decided to head downtown and check out the excitement for myself. And wow—was I in for a surprise! It was truly a city transformed by Its love for hockey.
The energy around Rogers Place in downtown Edmonton was electrifying. Every street corner buzzed with anticipation as fans gathered to cheer on the Edmonton Oilers. Dressed in jerseys and whatever unique outfits they could put together, supporters turned the city into a sea of blue and orange.
It was a spectacle like no other, and I’m so glad I got to experience and document it—even though they didn’t end up winning, better luck next time.
