The Magic of the Aurora: A Dream Come True
Born and raised in Jamaica, I often saw the breathtaking Northern Lights on TV. Of all the wonders of the world, that was the one I longed to witness most.
When I moved to Canada in 2013, I thought, Surely, this is my chance! But I had settled too far south, and the opportunity remained just out of reach.
Years passed, but then came October 2024, Edmonton, Alberta—an unforgettable night that made the wait worthwhile.
Standing beneath the sky, I was awestruck. The lights danced and swirled in an explosion of colors, painting the heavens with a brilliance I had only dreamed of. As I captured the moment through my lens, I also took time to simply stand there, my head tilted back, completely immersed in the spectacle. I felt like a small participant in a vast and magnificent universe.
Now, I eagerly await my next opportunity. But no matter what, October 2024 will forever remain one of the most magical memories of my life.
